About Us
Empowering women and girls to realize their full potential and lead positive change in their communities
Rural Women Empowerment Initiative (RWEI-Uganda) is a community-based organisation founded in 2016 to address the challenges faced by rural women, girls, and children in Northern Uganda. We work to amplify the voices of marginalized communities, promote gender equality, and advance sustainable development through education, economic empowerment, human rights advocacy, and environmental conservation.

PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES
We implement community-driven programs that empower women and girls
Strengthening Girls’ Education
We run “Stay in School” campaigns, girls’ clubs, and mentorship programs to reduce early marriages, teenage pregnancies, and school dropouts while promoting access to quality education.
Economic Empowerment for Women
We provide financial literacy training, entrepreneurship support, and income-generating opportunities to help women build sustainable livelihoods and improve household incomes.
Human Rights & Protection
We promote and protect the rights of women and children through community awareness, advocacy, and prevention and response to gender-based violence.
